Baby Sharks
A 30-minute class for the littlest ones, from their first steps to age 3, with you right there on the mat.
All classes / Baby Sharks
- walking to 3
- 30 minutes, with a grown-up on the mat, once a week
- Tuesdays, 5:45 to 6:15 PM
- Wednesdays, 12:00 to 12:30 PM
- 8 to 10 kids per class
- Step Up For Students accepted

This is the class for you if...
- Your toddler climbs the furniture, so they may as well climb something soft.
- You want a place to go once a week that isn't the living room or a screen.
- They've never done anything like this, and neither have you. That's the whole class.
What the 30 minutes actually look like
You stay on the mat the whole time. Baby Sharks is a grown-up-and-me class, so you're the spotter, the cheerleader and sometimes the climbing frame.
Thirty minutes of soft mats, low beams, little bars to hang from and a lot of "again!" There's a routine to it each week, which is what toddlers like.
Nobody is learning a cartwheel yet. They're learning to balance, to climb, to jump off something and land on their feet, and to listen to a coach who isn't mom or dad.

Questions parents ask about Baby Sharks
My child just started walking. Is that too young?
Nope. Walking is the starting line for Baby Sharks. If they can toddle across the mat, they can come.
Do I have to stay with my child?
Yes, and that's the fun part. Baby Sharks is a grown-up-and-me class, so a parent or caregiver is on the mat with them the whole time.
What if my toddler just wants to watch?
Totally normal, especially the first week or two. Plenty of kiddos hang onto a leg for ten minutes and then go. We'll never push.
Is the first class really free?
Yes. Your child's first class is on us, no strings. Click Book a Free First Class, tell us about your kiddo, and Coach Melana will call you to find the right class and day.
What happens after I book?
Coach Melana calls you at the time you picked. She'll ask a little about your child, check which class has room, and get your kiddo's first class on the calendar. The time slot you pick online is for that phone call, not the class itself.
What if we miss a class?
You can make it up in another class in the same age group that week if there's room. As classes and openings are limited, we recommend you do your best to make it to your reserved class.
Do you take Step Up For Students?
Yes. Shark Bite Gymnastics is a registered Step Up For Students provider. Step Up only bills monthly, so Step Up families pay $129 a month instead of $120 every 4 weeks for the weekly classes. Sensory Fins and Mighty Sharks take Step Up too and are priced separately. Tell us you're using Step Up when you book and we'll set it up.
