A class where your kiddo can just be a kid

Sensory Fins is for kids 5 to 9 with autism, ADHD, sensory processing disorder, or anything else, diagnosed or suspected, that makes sensory stuff hard.

A lot of families have heard "we can't really accommodate that" so many times that they just stopped asking. This class was built for those kiddos on purpose.

Swinging, climbing, and crashing into the big soft mats

It's a small group, 3 kids per coach at most, in a calmer room than our regular classes. There's a lot of swinging, climbing, and crashing into the big soft mats, which is what a busy little nervous system has been asking for all week.

To your kiddo it looks like play, and it is. And if today turns out to be a "watch from the mat" day, that's fine with us.

Built by someone who does this for a living

Steph is a pediatric occupational therapist who has spent the last ten years working with kids with sensory and physical needs. She designed every minute of this class: the swinging, the climbing, the crashing, and the order it all happens in.

She coaches every class right alongside Coach Melana, our head gymnastics coach. You're welcome on the mat with them, and so is your child's RBT or caregiver.

Questions parents ask

Does my child need a diagnosis?

No. Diagnosed or suspected, if sensory stuff is hard for your kiddo, this class was built for them.

Can I stay with my child?

Yes! Parents are welcome on the mat, and so is your child's RBT or caregiver. A lot of parents like seeing what works for their kiddo in class so they can try it at home.

What if my child has a hard day?

Then it's a "watch from the mat" day. That happens, and we'll try again next Friday.

Is there anyone this class isn't right for?

The one thing Sensory Fins isn't built for is a child who gets aggressive with themselves or other kids. If that's your kiddo, text us anyway and we'll talk about what might work.

Do you take Step Up?

Yes, Step Up scholarships are accepted!

My child needs more physical help. Is this the right class?

That's what Mighty Sharks is for. It's the second Sharks in Motion class, for kids 5 to 9 with developmental delays, neurological diagnoses or tone differences, with 2 kids per coach. It starts Friday, December 4. Text us and we'll tell you straight which class is the better fit.
