A full hour for ages 7 to 9. The skills get bigger, the class gets longer, and it still ends with a kid who can't wait for next Thursday.

This is the class for you if...
- Your 7, 8 or 9 year old wants to flip, and you'd rather they learn how on a mat than on the trampoline.
- They want a sport, but not the one with tryouts, travel weekends and a kid crying in the car.
- They've outgrown Pups and still love it here.
What the 60 minutes actually look like
Sixty minutes, because at this age 45 wasn't enough. Strength and mobility to start, then skill work on floor, beam and bar, then the part they came for.
Cartwheels become round-offs. Rolls become walkovers, at their pace. Handstands get held. Every skill is broken into pieces a kiddo can win at.
Still recreational. No team, no scores, no being told they're behind.

Questions parents ask about Sharks
My child is 9 and brand new to gymnastics. Is Sharks still right?
Yes. The class meets each kiddo where they are, so a brand-new 9 year old and one who's been here two years are both working on the next thing for them.
What happens after age 9?
Right now our classes run walking through age 9. Ask us where things stand when your kiddo gets close.
Is this a competitive team?
No. We're recreational and we're staying that way.
Is the first class really free?
Yes. Your child's first class is on us, no strings. Click Book a Free First Class, tell us about your kiddo, and Coach Melana will call you to find the right class and day.
What happens after I book?
Coach Melana calls you at the time you picked. She'll ask a little about your child, check which class has room, and get your kiddo's first class on the calendar. The time slot you pick online is for that phone call, not the class itself.
What if we miss a class?
You can make it up in another class in the same age group that week if there's room. As classes and openings are limited, we recommend you do your best to make it to your reserved class.
Do you take Step Up For Students?
Yes. Shark Bite Gymnastics is a registered Step Up For Students provider. Step Up only bills monthly, so Step Up families pay $129 a month instead of $120 every 4 weeks for the weekly classes. Sensory Fins and Mighty Sharks take Step Up too and are priced separately. Tell us you're using Step Up when you book and we'll set it up.
